Other posts I've written on other blogs-Extra Credit
Monday, October 28, 2013
I've had a few group discussions with other students who are writing about the war. One wants to write about the whole war overall, giving different types of insight of it. The other wants to write all the negative things and views of what the United States did and why they are so bad. I'm gonna write about the positive things the United States and impact they had.
Almost there!
So I completed my first draft of my research paper and I have to say I'm proud of it. It took alot of hard work and dedication but I did it.
I have been revising and proofreading for the past few days now and I think I have it finally completed. I just had to do some extra paraphrasing and using my quotations in a more analytical way. I also forgot to put some web links on my work cited page. So I managed to (hopefully) fix it and it looks complete. I'm so relieved!

Computer Time
We finally got some extra time working in a computer lab this week. So far, I am about half way done with my paper. I am trying to make sure I put all the right quotations in the right place and I'm trying to make sure I cite everything appropriately. My biggest obstacle (besides citing and quoting correctly) is also making sure my timeline is accurate. I keep having to go back and re read everything to make sure it looks correct :-) I want to be done already!!

What Am I Writing?
I wanted to start writing my paper last night and I had a writer's block. I know all about the war now but I'm thinking I have to research and find more information. I especially have to find more current information about the relationship between the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Since I'm arguing my topic, I have to get more data about U.S. foreign policies, how they apply to the rest of the world, etc... As I review my outline I have the beginning and the middle portion of my paper, now I just have to make sure my conclusion is strong and applies to everything I wrote from the introduction. It's nerve racking.
